Talent Link Work Force, an international recruitment and training firm specialising in Executive & Middle Management positions in the Fashion, Luxury, Retail, Catering, Hospitality and FMCG sectors, is looking for a Designer Sportswear M/F in Amsterdam.
In our recruitment and training practice, we work with various companies in the uxury, Premium and Upscale sectors throughout Europe, where we have offices in strategic cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, London, Lisbon and Munich.
Description of the Designer Sportswear – Sportswear :
- Design and develop complete sportswear collections. (e.g. hoodies, joggers, tops, outerwear) with attention to innovation, function, and aesthetics.
- Create moodboards, seasonal color palettes, technical drawings, and detailed style descriptions.
- Take ownership of the design process, including documentation in the PLM/PDM system.
- Participate in fit sessions and contribute to prototype reviews and sample comments.
- Work in close alignment with Product Development and Technical teams to ensure best-in-class fit and workmanship.
Requirements
You will have at least 2 years’ experience as a Store Manager in the accessories or ready-to-wear sector, ideally for a mid-range. We’re looking for someone:
- Degree in Fashion Design, Sportswear Design, or related field
- 4–6 years of professional experience in men’s activewear or sportswear design, ideally with a European brand
- Strong eye for trends and proven ability to create commercially relevant designs tailored to the male consumer
- Sound understanding of garment construction, materials, and cost-conscious design
- Excellent command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with PLM/PDM systems
- Independent, structured working style with adaptability and strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English; German or Dutch is a plus.
